Wooden Spirit Stakes are recommended for indoor use only.  Each Spirit Stakes 'stake portion' is treated with spar urethane.   This is the same coating as used on outdoor furniture.   Spar urethan coats the portion of the stake that receives contact with the soil in your indoor plant.    It protects the stake to repel water and remains flexible to ensure the stake lasts for many seasons to come.

Please keep in mind that Spirit Stakes are manufactured from natural wood products and variations in wood grain are common.  This is a characteristic that makes each and every Spirit Stake slightly different form the next.
